Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is required to be written in the English language.
- The submission file must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Relevant to the thematic scope covered by ULTIMA Computing.
- The article must be a minimum of 6 pages in length and follow a chapter structure consisting of Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
- The abstract must be 200–250 words in length and include the background, main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
- Images included in the article must be clear and easily visible.
- Tables in the article must be presented in table format, not as images, and must be clearly readable.
- References must follow IEEE style, include a minimum of 15 sources with at least 70% published within the last 5 years, and all journal and proceeding references must contain a DOI.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in Submission Guideline
Copyright Notice
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike International License (CC-BY-SA 4.0) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
Copyright without Restrictions
The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions and will retain publishing rights without restrictions.
The submitted papers are assumed to contain no proprietary material unprotected by patent or patent application; responsibility for technical content and for protection of proprietary material rests solely with the author(s) and their organizations and is not the responsibility of the ULTIMA Computing or its Editorial Staff. The main (first/corresponding) author is responsible for ensuring that the article has been seen and approved by all the other authors. It is the responsibility of the author to obtain all necessary copyright release permissions for the use of any copyrighted materials in the manuscript prior to the submission.
