A Study on Kompas.id
Abstract
Print media in Indonesia have been through many changes, as well as declining after the internet era. Print media are forced to innovate in an attempt to ensure their sustainability. Kompas daily, one of Indonesian biggest media, has been going digital and publish their contents on Kompas.id. This article describes how Kompas daily performs their digital transition through this new website. Providing easier accessibility and maintaining the quality of their news have been found as the strategy of this daily in facing digital era. However, this media needs to improve its business model and keep on innovating to sustain its print version in the digital era.
