Ultimacomm: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi is published twice a year as an information medium for scientific work in the field of communication studies and journalism in Indonesia. Ultimacomm: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi is published each semester in June and December. Topics addressed within the journal include, but not limited to:
The submitted manuscript will go through a double-blind peer review processes, where reviewers are unaware of the author's information, and vice versa. The review process will last for 3 to 6 months, depending on the readiness of the submitted manuscript
Ultima Comm is published twice a year (June and December) by Faculty of Communication, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
UltimaComm does not charge processing and submission fees.
Plagiarism screening will be conducted by Turnitin.
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike International License (CC-BY-SA 4.0) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

The submitted papers are assumed to contain no proprietary material unprotected by patent or patent application; responsibility for technical content and for protection of proprietary material rests solely with the author(s) and their organizations and is not the responsibility of the ULTIMACOMM or its Editorial Staff. The main (first/corresponding) author is responsible for ensuring that the article has been seen and approved by all the other authors. It is the responsibility of the author to obtain all necessary copyright release permissions for the use of any copyrighted materials in the manuscript prior to the submission.
At our journal, we are committed to promoting the ethical use of AI in scientific writing. As such, we have established clear rules and procedures to ensure that the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies is transparent, responsible, and balanced.
Authors must disclose any use of AI or AI-assisted technologies in their manuscript, including software, algorithms, or tools used to generate or analyze data, and any AI-generated content that has been included. They must also provide a clear and detailed explanation of how the AI or AI-assisted technologies were used and how they contributed to the scientific findings presented in the manuscript.
Furthermore, any AI-generated content included in the manuscript must be accurate, transparent, and properly attributed. This includes providing clear citations and references for any AI-generated text, figures, or tables.
Authors must ensure that the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in scientific writing does not compromise ethical standards or contribute to any harm or inequality. They must be mindful of the potential biases and limitations of AI technologies and take steps to mitigate any negative impacts on individuals or communities.
Finally, authors must adhere to our maximum AI content requirement of 15% (Will be check using Turnitin AI Service), which ensures that the use of AI in scientific writing is balanced and does not diminish the role of human expertise and judgment. The use of AI and AI-assisted technologies should only be employed where it provides clear benefits to the scientific analysis and conclusions presented in the manuscript.
This requirement is in place to promote balanced and responsible use of AI in scientific writing, and to ensure that the role of human expertise and judgment is not diminished by the use of automated tools. It also ensures that readers can properly evaluate the scientific findings presented in the manuscript, as they will have a clear understanding of the relative contributions of AI and human knowledge and analysis.
Overall, our journal is committed to promoting responsible and transparent use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in scientific writing. By establishing clear rules and procedures and adhering to a maximum AI content requirement of 15%, we aim to maintain the highest standards of scientific rigor and ethical practice.
