Submissions Guideline

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

All submissions will be processed electronically to Editorial Office through the online system. The author has to register in the OJS as the Author and log in to the OJS by accessing the following address: https://ejournals.umn.ac.id/index.php/index/login.   1. Manuscript criteria

    1. Scientific Coverage: Disciplines related to architecture, urbanism, and multimedia technology in the construction industry towards sustainable environments.

    2. Visionary Aspiration: Providing studies with international perspectives.

    3. Scientific Pioneering: Publishing articles containing original works that bring novelty and contribute to scientific advancement.

    4. Architectural Development: Providing real value and contributions to the advancement of the architectural discipline.

    5. Scientific Impact: Providing a high scientific impact on the wider community, especially academicians, practitioners, and industry professionals.

    6. Plagiarism: The level of plagiarism is allowed up to a maximum of 20%.

    7. Ratio of Primary References to Other Sources: The ratio of primary references to other sources is >80%.

    8. Novelty: The percentage of novely is >80%.

    9. Analysis and Synthesis: The level of analysis and synthesis is good. For example, carefully and effectively collaborating regulations with cases.

    10. Conclusion: The conclusion is good, meaning it is made in accordance with the researched problem and uses concise and clear language.

  2. Manuscript format

    1. The article typed in Microsoft Word version 2007 or later.

    2. The article typed with 1 line spacing on A4 paper size (21 cm x 29,7 cm), the top-left margin is 3 cm and the bottom-right margin is 2 cm and using Times New Roman’s font type.

    3. The article should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in this template. The article should contain of minimum 3500 words.

    4. References contain a minimum of 15 references (primary references) from reputable journals/conferences.

  3. Writing Style

    The journal writing style is established to meet the standards as outlined in the Author Guidelines, which can be generally explained as follows:

    • Writing Format

      The writing format, including paper size, header and footer limits, font type and size, and other formatting details, follows the guidelines provided by the journal manager on the OJS platform.

    • Article Titles

      Article titles should be clear and informative.

    • Author Names and Affiliations

      Author names and affiliations are complete and consistent, including name, affiliation, institution address, and email address.

    • Language

      Articles are written entirely in academic English.

    • Abstract

      The abstract is written clearly and concisely, consisting of 150-250 words in English.

    • Keywords

      Keywords reflect important concepts in the article and consist of a maximum of 5 (five) words.

    • Chapters and Subchapters

      The chapters and subchapters should be complete and systematic, starting from Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

    • Supporting Instruments

      The use of figures/charts/diagrams should be accompanied by clear captions as the supporting instrument.

    • Citation and Reference

      Citation and reference are standardized and consistent, following the IEEE style standards and created using the referencing tool Mendeley.

    • Compilation of Reference Lists

      The compilation of the reference list is standardized and consistent, following the IEEE style standards.

  4. Reviewing of Manuscripts

    Every submitted paper is independently and blindly reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendations. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within six months of the submission date.

  5. Revision of Manuscripts

    Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay (maximum of two weeks). Revised manuscripts can be sent to the editorial office through the same online system. Revised manuscripts returned later than one month will be considered as new submissions.
