Correction & Retraction Policy

Ultima InfoSys: Jurnal Ilmu Sistem Informasi is committed to keeping the scholarly record accurate and reliable. When errors or ethical problems are found in a published article, the journal will take appropriate action in line with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Published articles are never changed without a formal notice.

Corrections

A correction is published when part of an article is wrong but the overall findings remain valid. An erratum is used when the error was made by the journal, such as a typesetting or formatting mistake. A corrigendum is used when the error was made by the authors, such as an incorrect figure, calculation, author name, affiliation, or funding statement. Each correction notice explains what was changed and is linked to the original article.

Retractions

An article may be retracted when its findings cannot be relied upon because of major error, data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or a serious breach of research ethics. The retraction notice states the reason and who requested the retraction, and is linked to the original article. The retracted article remains available online but is clearly marked as retracted.

How to Request a Correction or Retraction

Authors or readers who find an error should send an email to the journal’s official contact address at ultimainfosys@umn.ac.id, stating the article title, DOI, and details of the problem. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision after consulting the authors and, where needed, the editorial board.
